Hi, I’m Anuj Patel. I’ve been part of the Columbus community for over 25 years, and from the very beginning, I’ve been connected to GMOCO in one way or another. As a businessman, I stay busy, but my true passion lies in serving the community and giving back in any way I can.

I live with my wife, our daughter, and my parents, and family has always been at the heart of everything I do. Being part of GMOCO gives me the opportunity to help preserve and celebrate our rich Gujarati culture while bringing people together. I’m excited to continue working with this wonderful community and look forward to making a lasting impact!

Ronak Patel

Vice President

Ronak Patel is a highly dedicated volunteer who has been an integral part of GMOCO for many years. Over the past seven years, he has actively served on both the General Committee and the Nomination Committee, demonstrating his exceptional skills as a task-oriented and friendly collaborator. Ronak is always willing to lend a helping hand and is highly responsive, going above and beyond to support GMOCO, such as securing event spaces even in the face of difficult situations. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his eagerness to work with the team to bring exciting programs to the community, ensuring their smooth execution while keeping costs under control. Ronak's passion for serving the community and his unwavering work ethic make him a valuable asset to GMOCO, and we are fortunate to have him as part of our team.

Sharan Majmudar

Sharan has been a Columbus resident for a long time and has been actively volunteering in GMOCO since 2022. He studied at The Ohio State University and moved out of Columbus for a brief time. However, he decided to move his family back here, our very own 'Columbus'.

He truly believes, there's no other place like Columbus and there's no better place than here for Gujaratis' like us.

He loves to keep himself busy and is happy that he is able to find time to make a small contribution to society.

For several decades, Rohitbhai has been an exceptional volunteer in our community, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those around him. His remarkable track record speaks for itself, as he has successfully managed the bookkeeping, banking, and accounting of numerous large-scale community events. Rohitbhai's warm personality and infectious smile create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere wherever he goes, and his efforts never fail to make a meaningful impact on those around him. Together with his wife Gitaben, he is deeply committed to promoting our Gujarati culture in Central Ohio. Rohitbhai is always eager to work with new people and to take on new challenges, and we are fortunate to have him as a member of our community. We are confident that his continued involvement will only bring further success and growth to GMOCO.

Me and Mayur have been in Columbus for 30 Years and through out all this years always supported Gmoco and our community. We have witnessed how our community grew and takes pride to be part of this community we both are very passionate about our Indian culture and try to pass it on to the next generation by motivating them to take part in cultural events .

As my kids are actively involved in cultural events I aims to engage our young generation to be part of it and inspire them to continue our vibrant Indian heritage.

I am very excited and thrilled to be a GMOCO cultural team again and try to use my experience as previous cultural chair during Jaguratiben’s presidency

Ami is thrilled to be a part of GMOCO. Growing up in the Columbus area, she has always been involved with the Gujarati Mandal of Central Ohio. During her father's presidency, she served on the Youth Committee. As a parent now, she is committed to ensuring that GMOCO continues to thrive for the benefit of her children and future generations. Having a community that promotes our Gujarati culture is crucial for developing future Gujarati leaders.

Ragin Patel

I live in Hilliard, OH, with my wife, our 9-year-old son, and my parents. By profession, I am an IT System Analyst, but one of my biggest passions is giving back to the community.

I’ve been involved with GMOCO for over 10 years, and it’s been an amazing experience. Volunteering here gives me a chance to stay connected with my roots while helping preserve and share Gujarati culture with the next generation. I love that our website and social media pages make it easier for young people to learn about our traditions, language, and history. It’s rewarding to know that, in some way, I’m contributing to keeping our culture alive for years to come!

Meet Parimal - an IT professional, real estate appraiser, tennis addict, coffee aficionado, family man, and volunteer. He's just your average બકો with too many jobs and hobbies and not enough time. Parimal loves volunteering because it's a great excuse to get out of doing housework, meet new people, and do something good for the community.

Ronak Padia

Ronak is a resident of the Columbus area, where he has been living for the past seven years. He lives with his wife and two children, and is a dedicated member of his community, frequently volunteering his time to help others.

Beyond his volunteer work, Ronak also takes pride in his Indian culture and heritage. He makes a concerted effort to stay connected to his roots, and often participates in cultural events and activities in the area. He has been involved with GMOCO since 2019.

Rajesh Bhatt

Hi, I'm Rajesh, and I've had the pleasure of calling Columbus, Ohio home for the past 13 years. My family consists of my wonderful wife and loving son, and together we take great pride in being part of this vibrant community.

I have been actively volunteering with various community organizations, including the Gujarati Mandal (GMOCO), where I’ve had the privilege of helping bring our culture to the next generation. It’s been rewarding to see our kids learn about and embrace their heritage.  

One of my most rewarding experiences has been serving as a volunteer Gujarati teacher at the Bharatiya Hindu Temple, where I get to share and preserve our rich Gujarati and Hindu culture and heritage.

I am deeply proud of my heritage and love to contribute to the cultural fabric of our community. It's been a fulfilling journey, and I look forward to continuing to give back and grow alongside my community. I’m committed to preserving and promoting it within our community.

Himanshu Patel

Food Committee

Himanshu Patel is a resident of Hilliard, Ohio for more than 19 years with his wife and two daughters. Himanshu has also lived in Baroda for 30 years and has deep roots in Gujarati culture. Himanshu started volunteering with GMOCO from 2021 to support the organization and its events. This time he is going to take a role of food chair to serve the community and will strive to provide authentic Gujarati food experience to everyone during the GMOCO events.
