Rupam Chokshi

President

Rupam is a passionate ગુજરાતી determined to elevate our મંડળ. Between 9 and 5, he is a technology professional obsessed with product management. He has served GMOCO as trustee and chair of the nomination committee since 2019. He was an integral part of FIA’s India Festival for a decade in the early 2000s.

Rupam is a Sanskrit enthusiast (student + teacher), helps organize Bhagavad Gita Chanting Competition, is an avid runner, son of former GMOCO president – Arun Chokshi, and is constantly in the pursuit of being a better version of himself.

Ronak Patel

Vice President

Ronak Patel is a highly dedicated volunteer who has been an integral part of GMOCO for many years. Over the past seven years, he has actively served on both the General Committee and the Nomination Committee, demonstrating his exceptional skills as a task-oriented and friendly collaborator. Ronak is always willing to lend a helping hand and is highly responsive, going above and beyond to support GMOCO, such as securing event spaces even in the face of difficult situations. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his eagerness to work with the team to bring exciting programs to the community, ensuring their smooth execution while keeping costs under control. Ronak's passion for serving the community and his unwavering work ethic make him a valuable asset to GMOCO, and we are fortunate to have him as part of our team.

Rohit Patel

Treasurer

For several decades, Rohitbhai has been an exceptional volunteer in our community, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those around him. His remarkable track record speaks for itself, as he has successfully managed the bookkeeping, banking, and accounting of numerous large-scale community events. Rohitbhai's warm personality and infectious smile create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere wherever he goes, and his efforts never fail to make a meaningful impact on those around him. Together with his wife Gitaben, he is deeply committed to promoting our Gujarati culture in Central Ohio. Rohitbhai is always eager to work with new people and to take on new challenges, and we are fortunate to have him as a member of our community. We are confident that his continued involvement will only bring further success and growth to GMOCO.

Nikunj bhai has been committed to supporting the Gujarati Mandal in any way he can regardless of holding a position/title. His dedication to the Mandal is unparalleled. It fills Nikunj bhai with joy to see the next generation of members and volunteers come together to infuse new energy into our organization.

Ami Samir Patel

Ami is thrilled to be a part of GMOCO. Growing up in the Columbus area, she has always been involved with the Gujarati Mandal of Central Ohio. During her father's presidency, she served on the Youth Committee. As a parent now, she is committed to ensuring that GMOCO continues to thrive for the benefit of her children and future generations. Having a community that promotes our Gujarati culture is crucial for developing future Gujarati leaders.

Parimal Patel

IT Administrator

Meet Parimal - an IT professional, real estate appraiser, tennis addict, coffee aficionado, family man, and volunteer. He's just your average બકો with too many jobs and hobbies and not enough time. Parimal loves volunteering because it's a great excuse to get out of doing housework, meet new people, and do something good for the community.

Ajay Pandya

Fundraising Chair

Ajay bhai has been a resident of this community for nearly 30 years and have been a dedicated supporter of GMOCO throughout that time. As a real estate professional, he is fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve this region, which has been incredibly welcoming to him. Giving back to our community is really important to him, and he is actively involved in various initiatives, including donating, volunteering, and serving on committees. He looks forward to working with the new team and seeing you all at our events!

Rupalee Kadakia

Cultural Chair

Rupalee has been a volunteer at GMOCO for several years, particularly with the cultural team. It brings her immense joy and pride to witness our community's children embrace and appreciate our culture each year. She is thrilled to continue her involvement with the GMOCO cultural team and aims to engage even more younger generations, inspiring them to continue our vibrant Indian heritage.

Ronak Padia

Food Chair

Ronak is a resident of the Columbus area, where he has been living for the past seven years. He lives with his wife and two children, and is a dedicated member of his community, frequently volunteering his time to help others. In particular, Ronak is passionate about food service and enjoys volunteering in this area whenever possible.

Beyond his volunteer work, Ronak also takes pride in his Indian culture and heritage. He makes a concerted effort to stay connected to his roots, and often participates in cultural events and activities in the area. He has been involved with GMOCO since 2019.
