Dear GMOCO Families & Friends

We are excited to announce an Aarti Thali Decoration Competition as part of our upcoming GMOCO Navratri Festival Celebrations! Celebrate Navratri by participating in this joyful competition during the Garba & Dandiya Festival.

Express your artistic flair by decorating a traditional thali used for the Aarti ceremony. Let your imagination shine through colors, lights, and symbols of devotion. Whether you are inspired by traditional designs or modern creativity, this is your chance to make something beautiful that honors our culture.

Rules & Guidelines

Submission Deadline: All decorated thalis must be submitted at the registration desk strictly by 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted for judging.

Materials: Participants must bring and use their own materials. The use of eco-friendly materials is highly encouraged.

Fairness & Anonymity: To ensure complete fairness, please DO NOT paint or write your name anywhere on the thali. A unique registration code/number will be securely attached to your plate upon arrival.

Judging Criteria (100 Points Total)

Judges will score each entry based on the following framework:

30 PTS

Creativity & Originality

Unique theme choice, color harmony, and innovative use of decorative materials.

30 PTS

Neatness & Craftsmanship

Precision in alignment, clean borders, attention to detail, and overall visual execution.

20 PTS

Traditional Relevance

Adherence to authentic cultural symbols, festive aura, and Navratri spirit.
